Dr. Ho, Mei-Shang served as an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Institute of Biomedical Science of the Academia Sinica. Dr. Ho has held multiple academic positions. She was formerly a Research Fellow (2006-2015) and Associate Research Fellow (1992-2006) at the Institute of Biomedical Science of the Academia Sinica. She also held a faculty position as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the School of Public Health at the National Taiwan University (1995-2015). Dr. Ho has published 96 papers on public health on academic journals.

Dr. Ho received a M.D. from Indiana University in 1981 and a M.P.H. from Harvard School of Public Health in 1985.
